Bible Infusion -- Genesis 1:12 -- The land produced vegetation; plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Students enjoyed an "indoor" plant info scavenger hunt. They worked in pairs to find answers to questions on their lab sheets. Information cards were "hidden" throughout the STEM Lab, so students had to search for the appropriate answers. Younger students enjoyed finding the numbered cards and reading the information aloud for their classmates.
We ended our lab session with a rousing game of "Plant Pictionary," in an attempt to gauge student knowledge of what we had learned today. Younger students did really well drawing more simple terms, while some older students excelled in some interesting pictures of more complex plant terms.
We ended our lab with some of the lettuce that we have grown with our Tower Garden!
It was a great introduction to our study of plants!
